Tovaka is the studio of Michael Kennett: builder, designer, and founder based in Portland, Oregon. The word means builder, and that is the whole story.

In 2011, Michael turned a Silver Streak travel trailer into a Venezuelan street food cart. That became TEOTE Restaurant Group, growing to four Portland locations. He built the brand and designed and constructed the spaces. TEOTE closed in 2024, but the experience of building and running a customer-facing business still informs his work.

His work spans hospitality, physical spaces, music, brands, and software. Today that experience goes into websites and systems that make it easier for customers to understand a business, get in touch, and take the next step.

Tovaka starts with an honest review of what your business needs. Sometimes that means fixing the website you already have. Sometimes it means a rebuild, better booking, or a system for following up with leads. You work directly with Michael throughout.
